![]() ![]() ![]() The design of the game is a little rough and not terribly fun. Bomberman World is sort of a traditional Bomberman game, but it is in a pseudo 3D environment, albeit with a grid and cross-shaped bombs. Practically all of these games are offshoots and have almost nothing to do with traditional Bomberman gameplay. The draw of this game are the battle boards, which in my opinion are sub par, and the ability to play the original game with better graphics and saves rather than the ridiculously long original passwords. It is a rerelease of the original NES Bomberman game which is notoriously pedantic due to all of the levels being identical (except for enemies and amount of soft blocks) and the fact that there are no bosses or even cut scenes after passing levels. Not the deluxe version that only came out in Japan. ![]() ![]() Is that cheating since it isn't for a home console? My favourite Bomberman Game released for a Playstation home console is the PAL version of Bomberman Kart. I would say the best actual traditional Bomberman Game released for a Playstation console is Bomberman Portable for PSP. I know they are popular in this subreddit, but I think most people who discovered Bomberman in the 8 to 32 bit eras were very disappointed and do not consider those games to be faithful to the Bomberman gameplay they fell in love with.Īnyway. This is my opinion, but the venture into 3D platform games hurt the franchise a lot. It didn't help that they just weren't very good games. All of the Playstation 1 games except Bomberman Land & Bomberman Wars were released in all territories, but they sold poorly outside of Japan. There were 7 PS2 games released, NONE of them came out in North America, and only two were released in English in PAL territories. The graph below charts the compatibility with Bomberman Land 2 since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred. For me the games that came out during the Playstation / PS2 era really represent a time of precipitous decline for the franchise. No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this title. The Gecko code will make it do something and fix the clipping issues in Bomberman Kart as well. The Widescreen Hack contained in Dolphin does nothing except in the Bomberman Kart stage. There are no reported problems with this title. ![]()
